econ.fred

Any series in the Federal Reserve's FRED database (800k+ US & international economic time series). Pass a seriesId (e.g. UNRATE unemployment, CPIAUCSL CPI, GDP, DGS10 10-yr Treasury, MORTGAGE30US) to get the series metadata (title, units, frequency, seasonal adjustment, observation range, last updated) plus its most-recent observations (date + value, newest first; optionally bounded by start/end date). Or pass a query to full-text search the catalog for matching series (id, title, units, frequency, popularity). Free, public-domain for most series (attribution to FRED). Distinct from econ.indicator (a curated headline-indicator set) — this is the full FRED catalog by id or search.
